Day 1: Arrival, Shanghai

Upon arriving in Shanghai, your personal tour guide and driver will greet you outside the arrival hall and escort you to your hotel by private vehicle. It usually takes you around one hour on the road.

Day 2: Shanghai, City Sightseeing

Start your city discovery with the Bund, which records the glorious period of Shanghai during the 1920s and 1930s. Afterward, continue to a classical Chinese private garden - Yu Garden and then stop at a silk workshop where you can see how small cocoons transform into elegant silk. In the afternoon, have a leisurely walking tour from Fuxing Park to Bugaoli Stone Gate. Passing through the narrow lanes and communities with the locals living there, you will fully understand the vibrant, dynamic, and complicated Shanghai city.

Day 3: Shanghai - Chengdu

You will have a free morning to do further exploration on your own or just relax at your hotel.

Fly to Chengdu in the afternoon. Arrived in Chengdu, be picked up and transferred to your hotel by your local guide and driver.

Day 4: Chengdu, Giants Pandas & Sichuan Hotpot and Tea

Have a memorable morning to see cute pandas and other rare animals at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. After the tour, enjoy a world-renowned Sichuan hotpot for lunch, then return to the hotel to rest.

Later in the afternoon, stroll through the River Viewing Tower Park, admiring its expansive green spaces, lakes, and waterfalls. Climb up Chongli Pavilion to overlook the entire Chengdu urban area and the winding Jinsha River, enjoying the spectacular scenery. Afterward, head to a nearby teahouse to indulge in a tranquil and delightful tea culture experience, immersing yourself in the unique charm of Chengdu.

Day 5: Sichuan Cuisine Cooking, Chengdu - Xi'an

Meet your tour guide in the morning and start your culinary tour. It includes a stop at a spice market to buy some ingredients, try the traditional Gaiwan tea as the locals do, follow the chef to cook three popular dishes of Sichuan cuisine, and enjoy your food as lunch. Later on, take a high-speed train to Xi'an.

Day 6: Xi'an, Terracotta Warriors

Highlight the day with the Terracotta Warriors, a world-renowned archaeological site about an hour's drive from downtown Xi'an. Visit the exhibition halls of the Terracotta Warriors to understand the history and culture of the Qin Dynasty and experience the grandeur of ancient emperors.

In the evening, visit a theme park showcasing Tang Dynasty culture and history, exploring the social customs, cultural arts, and achievements of the Tang Dynasty.

Day 7: Xi'an, Local Life Experience

Savor a relaxed morning with a local family, learning the art of making dumplings, hand-pulled noodles, and authentic home-cooked meals. If the schedule allows, join the hosts as they explore the market, selecting fresh ingredients and immersing yourself in the vibrant local atmosphere.

After lunch, head to Gao's Courtyard, where you can experience a calligraphy class and learn brush calligraphy. Later, be captivated by a spectacular shadow puppetry performance, where traditional Chinese folk tales come to life through the enchanting movements of the puppets.

Then, stroll to Muslim Street, immerse yourself in the rich atmosphere of Hui culture, admire traditional handicrafts and artworks, and select various souvenirs and gifts.

Day 8: Xi'an - Beijing

Before taking a high-speed train journey to Beijing, spend a relaxed morning at your hotel or explore around the hotel. Upon arrival in Beijing, local guides and drivers will transfer you to the hotel for rest.

Day 9: Beijing, Forbidden City

Begin the capital city tour from Tiananmen Square - the emblem of present China, and then have a visit to the Forbidden City - the power seat of ancient China since 600 years ago - where you will spend 2.5 to 3 hours to appreciate the royal buildings and soak in its mysterious ambiance. End today's tour with the Temple of Heaven, a holy place where ancient Chinese emperors prayed for good harvests.

Day 10: Beijing, Great Wall

Today's journey will take you to the magnificent Great Wall!

To avoid the crowds and get a better experience, you will drive about 2 hours to the Great Wall at Mutianyu section, where you can take a cable car to get up on the well-preserved wall and do some moderate hiking to take in the sweeping views surrounding.

Second Honeymoon My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by spending a few weeks touring around Asia. We loved how Odynovo worked with us to craft a tour of what we wanted to see and how we wanted to see it. This was our first time traveling with a private tour guide, and it was truly amazing. they took care of all transportation, tickets, and everywhere we went we had someone who not only spoke our language, but was also very well-versed in the places we were visiting. We saw Beijing and then took a bullet train to Xi'an. In both cities we had tour guides who had done this "a thousand times," and as a result knew all the tricks on where to take the best pictures, what lines to stand in, where to eat, and what not to waste your time seeing. At one point our guide pulled out ponchos from her backpack when it started to rain, while another helped us haggle for a good price on a new suitcase. We were surprised by how much we loved China, and it is safe to say that is because of the quality of service we got from Odynovo. Oh, and the hotels were great, too! In our first hotel my wife fell in love with her breakfast soup that she had to have every morning, while in Xi'an we were right around the corner from the Muslim Night Market and were able to get to it in less than 5 minutes of walking.We are already looking to see what tours we will be doing next through Odynovo, as the service was amazing, the quality was remarkable, and the cost was very worth it for what we received.

Fabulous! We had a fabulous experience with our guide and Odynovo walking the Great Wall of China, and all other sites in Beijing. We loved our Peking duck dinner. It was fabulous. Thank you, Sammie/Jing for a great experience.

Beijing Beauty It started off with a friendly face at the airport, with Roy, our tour guide.The week has been such a pleasure and a treat. From adventures to The Great Wall, Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City, to local markets, delicious Beijing food and roof top tea houses.Roy and our driver, Mr. Zhou, were prompt in picking us up and driving us around safely.The knowledge and fact about history and Beijing that Roy knows and explains is amazing and the fact he could answer my weird and inquisitive history questionsnwoth ease was a treat.He made it so easy to enjoy ourselves and absorb all that was around us, he even takes great photos too! 😊Polite, kind and thoughtful and ever patient in letting us take our time with things that interested us.I would highly recommend this tour and Roy again and again.

Amazing travel experience My name is Zarah M. Babangida a Nigerian and i visited Beijing with my colleagues from the office. During our 5 day stay in Beijing, Ms. Eva Ma, was our Tour guide and from the minute we came through the Arrival Gate of the Airport, we were embraced by her alluring smile and warm welcome. She remained consistent with her warmth, a kind and intelligent professional who exuded unique passion not just for her job as a tour guide but, even more so as a proud Chinese woman. Her outstanding insight and knowledge of the sweet Chinese history and heritage left us in awe. I couldn't be more proud and thankful that she was assigned to our group and she made our stay exciting, fun-filled effortless and knowledge packed. I absolutely commend her dedication to work which she depicted throughout our stay. I recommend her to every visiting tourist because to know Eva, is to love her.
