Day 2: Shanghai's Iconic Fusion - Where Past Meets Future

Get ready for a day packed with Shanghai magic! Start at the iconic Bund where past and future collide - snap that perfect skyline selfie! Then it's off to the treasure-filled Shanghai Museum and serene Jade Buddha Temple. Watch Shanghai come alive in Fuxing Park as locals dance, play mahjong, and practice tai chi (feel free to join in!). Our secret highlight? Bugaoli's charming stone archways and a stop to munch on steaming dimsum at a buzzing food market. After breakfast, we're off to "China's Venice" - Suzhou! Today we're trading city vibes for water town charm in dreamy Tongli! Wander cobbled lanes, cruise past Ming-era houses, and explore the peaceful Garden of Seclusion. Don't miss the romantic Triple Bridge and Pearl Pagoda - they look straight out of a fairytale! Return to Shanghai with your camera and heart full of unforgettable memories (transfer included).

Day 5: Shanghai - Chongqing

Wave goodbye to Shanghai as we whisk you to the airport for your flight to fiery Chongqing! After landing, your friendly guide will greet you with a warm welcome and take you to your hotel.

As night falls, get ready for a sparkling optional adventure:

Wander through artsy Xiaohao Li, where history meets Instagram-worthy neon lights. Feast your eyes at Changjiahui Danzishi Old Street - the BEST spot to see the Yangtze and Jialing rivers dance together, with the dazzling Raffles City and Grand Theater as their glittery backdrop!

Day 6: Chongqing's Greatest Hits!

Get ready for a full day of Chongqing magic!  Kick off your adventure at the mind-blowing Liziba Station, where you'll watch light rail trains play peek-a-boo through a residential building - trust us, it's even cooler in person! Then we're off to the fascinating Three Gorges Museum to dive into the region's rich history, with a perfect photo op at the grand People's Great Hall just outside. By lunchtime, be ready for the main event - a proper Chongqing hotpot experience that'll set your taste buds dancing.

The afternoon brings a leisurely stroll along the charming Shancheng Walkway, our favorite hidden-in-plain-sight path that winds through the city's most picturesque nooks and crannies. We'll wrap up at the breathtaking Hongya Cave, where you'll explore the stilt architecture and admire the entire complex lights up in golden splendor against the night sky on your own if you wish to stay longer.

Day 7: Chongqing - Guilin

After breakfast, we'll zip you to the train station for your scenic ride to Guilin. Don't worry - another friendly face will be waiting when you arrive!

Day 8: Li River Dreamscape & Yangshuo Adventure

Today's the day we cruise down the magical Li River - get those cameras ready! For the next 4 - 5 hours, you'll be floating through a living Chinese painting: emerald waters reflecting those iconic karst mountains, water buffalo chilling in the river, and bamboo groves swaying in the breeze. Pro tip: The "Nine Horses Fresco Hill" is our favorite photo spot - see if you can spot all nine horses! After docking in Yangshuo, check into your hotel and hit the West Street on your own- where you can shop for silk scarves, or sip local lychee wine (not included).

Day 9: Countryside Charm & Glowing Caves

Today is all about choosing your own journey through Yangshuo's dreamy countryside - hop on a bike to pedal past emerald rice fields where water buffalo lounge and farmers wave hello, or cruise in air-conditioned comfort as you take in the postcard-perfect scenery of karst mountains and winding rivers.

After working up an appetite, we'll head back to Guilin to step into the magical Reed Flute Cave, where nature's artistry comes alive with rainbow-lit stalactites and glittering rock formations that look straight out of a fantasy novel. Then, it's off to the airport for your flight to Xi'an, where your friendly local guide will be waiting with a warm welcome.

Day 10: Terracotta Warriors & WOW Moments

Brace yourself for the BIG one - the Terracotta Warriors! Meet Emperor Qin's 8,000+ clay soldiers (each with unique facial expressions!) standing guard for 2,200 years. After this history overload, we'll lighten things up at Muslim Street - follow your nose to sizzling lamb skewers or crispy pancake sandwiches (pay on-site).

Day 11: Xi'an - Beijing

Last morning in Xi'an! Walk the 600-year-old City Walls (perfect for that final panorama shot), then visit the fascinating Hanyang Tomb before flying to Beijing. Your new guide and driver will meet you with a big smile.

Day 12: Imperial Wonders - Beijing's Royal Playground

Start your day at Tiananmen Square, where the vast stone expanse stretches before you like an urban ocean. Head to the Forbidden City, where ancient emperors once ruled! Wind your way through magnificent courtyards and peek into secret chambers where royal drama unfolded centuries ago. The vibrant red walls and golden roofs will have your camera working overtime.

After lunch, skip over to the Temple of Heaven, a blue-roofed wonderland where emperors prayed for good harvests. This architectural gem will leave you wide-eyed with its perfect symmetry and clever design. Don't miss the Echo Wall where whispers travel magically - such a fun spot to play and learn about China's fascinating past.

Day 13: The Great Wall Adventure

Today's the big day - we're off to conquer the magnificent Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most scenic and less-crowded sections (perfect for those epic photos!). Hop on the cable car for a breezy ride up, then take your time exploring the ancient watchtowers and snaking pathways - every step is a brush with history.

After soaking in those breathtaking views, we'll head back to Beijing.

Day 14: Farewell, Beijing

Second Honeymoon My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by spending a few weeks touring around Asia. We loved how Odynovo worked with us to craft a tour of what we wanted to see and how we wanted to see it. This was our first time traveling with a private tour guide, and it was truly amazing. they took care of all transportation, tickets, and everywhere we went we had someone who not only spoke our language, but was also very well-versed in the places we were visiting. We saw Beijing and then took a bullet train to Xi'an. In both cities we had tour guides who had done this "a thousand times," and as a result knew all the tricks on where to take the best pictures, what lines to stand in, where to eat, and what not to waste your time seeing. At one point our guide pulled out ponchos from her backpack when it started to rain, while another helped us haggle for a good price on a new suitcase. We were surprised by how much we loved China, and it is safe to say that is because of the quality of service we got from Odynovo. Oh, and the hotels were great, too! In our first hotel my wife fell in love with her breakfast soup that she had to have every morning, while in Xi'an we were right around the corner from the Muslim Night Market and were able to get to it in less than 5 minutes of walking.We are already looking to see what tours we will be doing next through Odynovo, as the service was amazing, the quality was remarkable, and the cost was very worth it for what we received.

Fabulous! We had a fabulous experience with our guide and Odynovo walking the Great Wall of China, and all other sites in Beijing. We loved our Peking duck dinner. It was fabulous. Thank you, Sammie/Jing for a great experience.

Beijing Beauty It started off with a friendly face at the airport, with Roy, our tour guide.The week has been such a pleasure and a treat. From adventures to The Great Wall, Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City, to local markets, delicious Beijing food and roof top tea houses.Roy and our driver, Mr. Zhou, were prompt in picking us up and driving us around safely.The knowledge and fact about history and Beijing that Roy knows and explains is amazing and the fact he could answer my weird and inquisitive history questionsnwoth ease was a treat.He made it so easy to enjoy ourselves and absorb all that was around us, he even takes great photos too! 😊Polite, kind and thoughtful and ever patient in letting us take our time with things that interested us.I would highly recommend this tour and Roy again and again.

Amazing travel experience My name is Zarah M. Babangida a Nigerian and i visited Beijing with my colleagues from the office. During our 5 day stay in Beijing, Ms. Eva Ma, was our Tour guide and from the minute we came through the Arrival Gate of the Airport, we were embraced by her alluring smile and warm welcome. She remained consistent with her warmth, a kind and intelligent professional who exuded unique passion not just for her job as a tour guide but, even more so as a proud Chinese woman. Her outstanding insight and knowledge of the sweet Chinese history and heritage left us in awe. I couldn't be more proud and thankful that she was assigned to our group and she made our stay exciting, fun-filled effortless and knowledge packed. I absolutely commend her dedication to work which she depicted throughout our stay. I recommend her to every visiting tourist because to know Eva, is to love her.
