Zhangjiajie's Hehua Airport (DYG) offers direct flights from major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. If you're coming from abroad, connecting via Changsha is a common option.

• From Beijing: Take a 2.5-hour flight or a high-speed train to Changsha (5–6 hours), then a 4-hour train or 3.5-hour bus ride.
• From Shanghai: A direct flight (~2.5 hours) is the fastest option, or take a high-speed train to Changsha (~6 hours), followed by a bus/train.
• From Chengdu: Direct flights (~1.5 hours) or a high-speed train to Changsha (~6.5 hours) with a transfer to Zhangjiajie.
• From Hong Kong: Direct high-speed trains (~7-8 hours) from Zhangjiajie to Hong Kong, with two round-trip services daily. Alternatively, you can take a high-speed train to Changsha (~2.5-3 hours) and transfer to another high-speed train to Hong Kong (~3.5-4 hours).

You can also try a 15-minute chair lift in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, swaying in the air high above the forest. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon can provide a zip-lining experience and bungee jumping. These are safe activities but are not recommended for faint-hearted tourists.
