If you're looking to enjoy the thrilling experience of hiking here, consider these routes for an unforgettable experience.

After entering the scenic area, you'll reach the visitor center. From there, take a 20-minute shuttle bus to the Glacier Park cable car ticket office, then take the cable car, which takes about 10 minutes. Upon arrival, you'll be at an altitude of 4,506 meters. You will need to hike for approximately 30 minutes to reach the 4,680-meter observation deck.

Take the shuttle bus to the Spruce Meadow Cable Car ticket office. The entire process takes about 40 minutes. Once you board the cable car, you'll reach your destination, the Spruce Meadow, in 10 minutes. You can freely explore the open meadow here. Afterward, return to the cableway. If you prefer, you can take the time to explore Blue Moon Valley, which is near the cableway, at your own pace before heading back to the tourist center.

Take the scenic shuttle bus to Blue Moon Valley, then transfer to another bus to the Yak Meadow Cable Car ticket office, a process that takes about 50 minutes in total. The cable car ride to Yak Meadow takes around 20 minutes. Similar to Spruce Meadow, Yak Meadow is an open grassland with many grazing livestock. Therefore, we recommend choosing either Yak Meadow or Spruce Meadow for your visit. Additionally, the Spruce Meadow cable car has enclosed cabins, while the Yak Meadow cable car is open-air.

How to Get to Yulong Snow Mountain

The easiest option is to take a shuttle bus that runs directly from Lijiang Bus Station at Lijiang Old Town. The journey takes about 50 minutes. However, for a more comfortable and personalized experience, we recommend booking a private car and guide through our service. This allows for a flexible schedule and a more tailored trip.

  • Acclimate to the altitude: The accessible altitude of this mountain is 4,500 meters (about 14,000 feet), which can cause altitude sickness. Spend a day or two in Lijiang (which is at a lower altitude) to acclimate before heading up the mountain. So to properly acclimate to the altitude, stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and consider taking altitude sickness medication and buying an oxygen canister at the base or in Lijiang if you’re prone to it.
  • Pack appropriately for the season: The need to pack appropriately cannot be overemphasized. It is advisable that you pack your bags in consideration of the season in which you'll be visiting and ensure you don't forget to keep thick clothes regardless of the season you are visiting, as it tends to get cold if you consider taking the Cable Car Rides even in summer. So prepare in accordance with the season you are visiting and as a pro-tip, wear sturdy, non-slip hiking boots or shoes suitable for walking on snow and ice.
  • Book Your Tickets In Advance: If you're planning a trip in the summer, ensure to book your tickets from the local travel guide before arrival because cable car tickets, especially to Glacier Park, can sell out quickly during busy times. Book in advance with us to ensure you don’t miss out.

Second Honeymoon My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by spending a few weeks touring around Asia. We loved how Odynovo worked with us to craft a tour of what we wanted to see and how we wanted to see it. This was our first time traveling with a private tour guide, and it was truly amazing. they took care of all transportation, tickets, and everywhere we went we had someone who not only spoke our language, but was also very well-versed in the places we were visiting. We saw Beijing and then took a bullet train to Xi'an. In both cities we had tour guides who had done this "a thousand times," and as a result knew all the tricks on where to take the best pictures, what lines to stand in, where to eat, and what not to waste your time seeing. At one point our guide pulled out ponchos from her backpack when it started to rain, while another helped us haggle for a good price on a new suitcase. We were surprised by how much we loved China, and it is safe to say that is because of the quality of service we got from Odynovo. Oh, and the hotels were great, too! In our first hotel my wife fell in love with her breakfast soup that she had to have every morning, while in Xi'an we were right around the corner from the Muslim Night Market and were able to get to it in less than 5 minutes of walking. We are already looking to see what tours we will be doing next through Odynovo, as the service was amazing, the quality was remarkable, and the cost was very worth it for what we received.

Amazing travel experience My name is Zarah M. Babangida a Nigerian and i visited Beijing with my colleagues from the office. During our 5 day stay in Beijing, Ms. Eva Ma, was our Tour guide and from the minute we came through the Arrival Gate of the Airport, we were embraced by her alluring smile and warm welcome. She remained consistent with her warmth, a kind and intelligent professional who exuded unique passion not just for her job as a tour guide but, even more so as a proud Chinese woman. Her outstanding insight and knowledge of the sweet Chinese history and heritage left us in awe. I couldn't be more proud and thankful that she was assigned to our group and she made our stay exciting, fun-filled effortless and knowledge packed. I absolutely commend her dedication to work which she depicted throughout our stay. I recommend her to every visiting tourist because to know Eva, is to love her. If it were up to me, i will increase her bonuses or upgrade her salary as i am sure most tourists would want or revisit for her sake first and then perhaps other reasons.Thank you Eva and keep the passion up🙌.
